The Ziggurat
Ok, so back in the time of Sumerians, I'm sure their Ziggurat's were not quite so messy. But they also didn't make them out of peanut butter and sugar cubes! (And they SURE didn't sneak a few bites in the process either!) I LOVE our history curriculum!

Stonehenge Projects
Today we learned about StoneHenge.
I gave them the project of creating a small stone replica..... They went for extra...
This actually resembled more the Tower of Babel...
This was more along the lines of what I was shooting for.
It was a fun project, nonetheless! Now to carefully disassemble....

The Cave Party
Much fun! We had a huge "cave" built downstairs that was like a kids homemade fort deluxe. Used blankets, sheets, a few couches, chairs, tables, had a tent filled with pillows.... And Meme made this cute cake that - it's hard to see it - but he is shining his light into it; it was a cave with an opening and all kinds of treasure inside! Happy Birthday to our boy!

Did I touch your botox?
Here's the feller that inspired the title of the blog. He learned "buttocks" as a term, but somehow has gotten it mixed up with "botox" so on a recent swimming expedition, he swam past a friend of my niece's and, concerned he may have committed an inappropriate infraction (or perhaps HOPING he did...) turned to her and asked - "Did I touch your botox?".
Welcome
Welcome. This is my public blog. I have a private blog, I confess, but it is for those who know me and are willing to do the whole login thing.
This is the inspired blog I am doing for you to view, to catch up, to see a glimpse of our day-to-day. It will be private in the way that you can see us, but names will remain unknown (that's the overprotective mama in me that still comes out when I venture into the www.)
There won't be many stories, but there will be pictures. Maybe a cute story here or there. It is my personal goal to make this a diary of our lives; I would love to take the challenge of doing a picture a day, but I know me. I really want to do it though, so we'll see. These won't be posed pictures (most of the time) - they will be glimpses of our daily, mundane lives - the moments that make up a life; or rather, several lives. And after seeing the way my "private" blog has been a way for us to enjoy the past few years over and over, that's what I hope this is.
So really, it's our own personal album, or illustrated journal. But I invite you to share. Welcome.
